Congratulations to Alan Cockerill, who won our 1952 MG TD. To the enthusiast, the thrill of driving is top priority. That connection to the road through the wheels and the steering while flowing down a country road as the landscape rolls past the windscreen.
This is exactly the sensation you get from the 1952 MG TD. An important part of British sports car history. From the origin of the T Series in the mid-1930s with the TA, until the end of its production in the mid-1950โs with the TF, the passion for these cars survives even to this day in the minds of the purist driver.
This MG TD, the most popular of the MG Tโs, is finished in a striking colour combination of Black with a vibrant green interior. Its simplicity is the most important part of its bountiful charm which flows from every part of this classic sports car. This MG TD also benefits from the fitting of electronic ignition, making the car even more useable in the modern driving world. From the leather bonnet strap to the British badging, the unique details of the MG TD make it very easy to fall in love with this characterful sports car.
Since arriving at our workshop and undergoing a full mechanical inspection, the only work required to be done to the car was a repair to its beige soft top, with new webbing strips fitted lengthways. The car has only be restored once in its lifetime back in 1978, since then it has been wonderfully cared for by each of its previous owners.
