‘Simplify and then add lightness’. Those are the words that sit at the core of every Lotus.
Built solely for the joy of driving, Bridge Classic Cars gave you the chance of winning our 1972 Lotus Elan +2.
Finished in bright and vibrant red with a beige leather interior, this classic Lotus has been a firm favourite with enthusiasts for many years. The layout of the +2 makes this Elan more useable and comfortable.
The legendary 1558cc Ford derived twin-cam engine pulls cleanly and strongly through the revs and is as responsive as the day it was built. Fitted with a 4 speed gearbox and small, tight Momo steering wheel, this Elan +2 really puts you in perfect control of the direct, precise and almost mythical steering feel of the Lotus Elan.
This 1972 Lotus Elan +2 has spent many years of its life in South Africa and was recently imported to the UK and registered by Bridge Classic Cars wearing the plate, โPGF 461Kโ. The car has been thoroughly inspected and assessed by our in-house restoration team, who reported the only issue was worn engine mounts which have since been replaced. The rest of the car is in exceptional condition both aesthetically and mechanically.
Congratulations to Steven Rowat, winner of the 1972 Lotus Elan +2.
