The Triumph TR6 was introduced in 1968, replacing the TR250/TR5, and quickly gained popularity. It featured all-round independent suspension, disc/drum brakes, and rack-and-pinion steering. It had a 2.5-litreย straight-six engine paired with a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive.
Our TR6 was first registered in January 1974 and is believed to have originally had Dark Blue paintwork with Black upholstery. While its early history remains largely unknown, records show that it underwent a cosmetic refresh and received an exchange speedometer at 67,036 miles in the early 1980s. In 1997, its previous owner, who was an engineer acquired the car. He used it sparingly but maintained it with exceptional care.
Between 2009 and 2011, the car underwent a complete body-off mechanical and cosmetic overhaul by Quiller Triumph at a cost of ยฃ12,009.45. The previous owner continued their high level of maintenance and care after this until his passing in 2023.
