This classic, air-cooled 911 is as striking as it is sophisticated.
High-performance sports cars always have, and always will be compared to the 911. No matter the generation, the 911 lives up to its reputation.
Are you ready to meet this classic legend?
Our 1979 Porsche 911 Targa is finished in the iconic Porsche Guards Red, paired with a unique interior of maroon over biscuit leather. The car was ordered brand new from Motortune in London on the 6th of August, 1979 by its original owner, who specified both its colour and Targa roof. The original bill of sale is included within its extensive history file.
Making its debut in 1965, the Targa roof has become ubiquitous with the Porsche 911. Neither being a hard-top, nor a convertible gave 911 buyers a new sense of open-top driving.
The history file which accompanies the 911 dates back to 1979. Also included are labour and parts invoices from marque specialists such as Autofarm and HGW Engineering. In 1995, an engine rebuild was carried out at 114,253 miles by HGW Engineering with supporting paperwork in the file. Since then, the car has covered just under 40,000 miles with recorded services and work accounted for in the folder.
The last 911 competition sold out ahead of the scheduled draw date, so don’t miss out on your chance of winning our iconic Guards Red Porsche 911.
