If one name is synonymous with perfectly balanced, exciting and soulful performance motorcycles, it is Ducati. From the introduction of the legendary Mach 1 in the 1960s, the company was known for creating some of the fastest and rider focused machines the world had known. Since then, the company has won numerous world titles with their Ducati Corse team but also the imagination and envy of million of riders who covet the illustrious name on the side of the tank.
The story of the Supersport begins in the early 1970s with hero rider, Paul Smart. Smart took a Ducati 750SS to a win at the Imola 200 and the name was cemented in history. After that, the name was resurrected for the special performance editions of Ducati Motorcycles. In the late 1980s, after the firm was bought by Cagiva, the Supersport name returned to adorn the fairings of these analogue wonders.
Our 1994 Ducati 750 Supersport sits in that period.
Finished in signature Ducati Red with โBronzeโ frame and wheels and complimented by the black vinyl seat and accents.
Originally delivered in February of 1994, the 750 was the lighter and more agile version of the 900SS, its 748cc โL-Twinโ engine offering wonderful power delivery thanks to its chain-drive with direct and dynamic handling, backed up with the twin-disc Brembo front brake set-up. Our 750 Supersport has a comprehensive and detailed history file dating back to the mid-1990s with service history dating up to 2020 (including its original service pack and owners manual dated up to 2000). In 2011, the bike was fitted with new steering head bearings while the fork seals were replaced and forks refilled in 2015.
Also included in the history file of the bike, is a detailed breakdown of a full engine rebuild from 1997 carried out by TW Motorcycles Ltd in Oxford when the bike had 12430 miles showing at the time of work. To this date, the beautiful analogue gauges show just 25,6000 miles on the odometer.
Also the bike is fitted with a Datatag security system which the bike has worn since February 2001, which has been updated and registered to each of its owners, the last one caring for the bike for over 12 years. And, comes with a brand new genuine Ducati spare throttle cable and spare 37-tooth original Renthal rear sprocket.
With modern sportsbikes featuring a host of electronic aids and computer controlled engine management, our 1994 Ducati 750 Supersport is perhaps one of the final truly analogue motorcycles in a digital age and Bridge Classic Cars Competitions wants you to experience this incredible machine. Like the legendary Ducatiโs of the 1960s and 70s, our 1994 Ducati 750SS puts the rider in the centre of the occasion, it is truly for the rider.
