Congratulations to Brian Swain, winner of the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal: TVR S2 2.9L V6.
With the ongoing, devastating humanitarian crisis happening in Ukraine, people from across the globe are doing whatever they can to help.
Back in October 2021, Bridge Classic Cars ran the chance for someone to win a beautiful bright red 1989 TVR S2 2.9. The winner of that car, was a local man named Jar Joyce.
Jar, the owner of our 1989 TVR S2 2.9 along with the support and help of Bridge Classic Cars Competitions have run this iconic 1980s sports car as a competition with 100% of the proceeds going to help the DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal.
The owner of the car, after seeing the appeals for aid and support to the people displaced and directly affected by the Ukrainian conflict, felt he needed to do whatever he could to help. Owning this classic sports cars, he has offered them to be raffled to support this amazing cause.
As said, 100% of the proceeds from this competition have been donated to the DEC appeal.
Not only is your money going to a superb cause, but you could be the proud new owner of our 1989 TVR S2 2.9.
Amongst its peers of the time, the S2 is greatly overlooked and underappreciated as a classic. The 2.9 litre V6 at the time generated nearly 170BHP and 180lb ft of torque to the rear wheels through a proper drivers 5 speed manual gearbox and was enough to take this 80โs mystery machine to nearly 140mph. This is one for the enthusiasts!
Recently in early 2021, the car was worked on where a new clutch master and slave cylinder were replaced along with the rear wheel cylinders and a given a complete brake fluid change with a bill totalling just over ยฃ500.00. The vehicle will come with a folder created by the previous owner and meticulously updated as and when anything work was completed on the vehicle.
While previously at Bridge Classic Cars, the vehicle was carefully inspected and any non-intrusive work carried out to ensure the car can be instantly enjoyed by its lucky new owner and for many years to come.
Our competitions usually have a limited number of tickets available, however with this competition we were trying to raise as much money as possible and so there was no limit on the number of tickets sold.
Congratulations to Brian Swain, winner with ticket number 346.
