Don’t let the Jaguar’s elegant styling fool you, this performance machine packs a hell of a punch. The 4.0L Supercharged V8 engine catapults you to 60mph in just 5 seconds! The 380bhp XJR will pull hard, all the way to its limited top speed of 155mph.
These Jaguar’s were built to a very high standard and feel every bit a quality heritage British performance car.
As pictured, it came with a unique and distinctive, vehicle relevant private plate “S5 XJX” (SS – Swallow Sidecars, Jaguar’s founding company).
These cars are becoming very sought after, examples in this sort of condition are almost impossible to find. This car had been garaged from new and has a full-size car cover. Our Jaguar XJR has the original BBS, split rim, 18”, XJR alloy wheels that are very clean and tidy. Complete with an undamaged, full size BBS alloy spare wheel in good condition.
On board computer, climate control, alarm and immobiliser with the standard XJR features including electric seats, adjustable steering column/wheel, airbags, anti-lock brakes and carpet mats in footwells.
Other than the stunning 18 inch BBS wheels, there were few other obvious signs that this was a serious performance car. This 380bhp monster was a blast to drive, not for the feint-hearted, this big cat could spin up its huge wheels even at higher speeds. The beautiful ivory interior had been recently restored and was in outstanding condition. The same could be said of the exterior paintwork, the condition is excellent with barely a single scratch or blemish in sight.
The previous owner was very well known to us at Bridge Classic Cars and is a big name in the automotive world. He took incredibly good care of his cars. That’s why when this car became available for sale, we had to have it!
Full service in July 2020 at Jaguar Land Rover Stratstone Service Centre.
In February 2020, the XJR had the following new components: drive belt, water pump, rear shock absorbers, front disks and pads, brake fluid and rear wheel bearings. No expense has been spared on this car’s maintenance.
The current MOT expires in December 2020, however, we will be putting a fresh 12 month MOT on the vehicle before delivery to the winner.
The odometer reads 86,134 miles.
We had incredible odds on the XJR, with only 1750 maximum tickets!
